About Ron & Wanda
Dr. Ron Walborn is on pastoral staff at Church of the City in New York City helping them launch their new school of urban ministry (www.church.nyc). Dr. Wanda Walborn is the Founder and Director of Empower, a highly effective women’s discipleship program (www.empowerww.org). Ron was the Executive Director of Urban Initiatives for Asbury Theological Seminary from 2023 to 2025. Ron also serves on the Board of Trustees for Asbury Seminary.Previously, Drs. Ron and Wanda Walborn served at Nyack College and Alliance Theological Seminary from 1999 to 2023. Ron was a Professor of Pastoral Theology and the Vice President and Dean of the Seminary. Wanda was an Associate Professor of Spiritual Formation at the college and seminary. Ron has a B.A. in History from Nyack College, an M.Div. from Alliance Theological Seminary and a DMin from Fuller Theological Seminary. Ron has pastored Alliance churches in Connecticut and California. Wanda has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Nyack College, an M.A. in Intercultural Studies from Alliance Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Intercultural Studies from Western Seminary. Both Ron and Wanda have a calling together to bring healing and renewal to the Church in the United States and around the world. They have been married 41 years. Their four adult children are all happily married and have blessed them with seven amazing grandchildren. Ron and Wanda will never turn down a cup of ‘good’ coffee!
